Freedom From the Pressure of Man

I believe we are in a season in which the things God is requiring of us to do will require courage and boldness. I will discuss the theme Bold and Courageous for the entire month of July. Last week’s YouTube live was Being Free From Needing the Approval of Man to be bold and courageous. Pressure is the use of persuasion, influence, or intimidation to make someone do something.

1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so you can endure.

Every enticement to do the opposite of what God has said is to divert the perfect plan that God has established for your life. Through Holy Spirit, you have been given the power to not yield to the pressure. Remember, if God is on your side, then who can be against you!

Prayer for the Journey

God, thank you for never leaving nor forsaking me. Being secure in your love helps me not yield to the pressure of man. I am thankful that you uphold me under pressure and have given me the strength to do your will.

You Are Free

Happy Independence Day! Today we are celebrating our country's freedoms; but true freedom comes from Christ.

John 8:36 AMPC So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

You are free in Christ to go forward and do the good works God has predestined for your life from the beginning of time.

Prayer for the Journey

God, thank you for freedom. I am no longer bound by sin, bound by people, nor bound by my past. My belief in you has given me freedom to do your good and perfect will.

It's No Surprise to God

After graduating from college and starting my first nursing job at a hospital, I suffered from extreme anxiety. I would set the alarm to wake me at 5 am on the days I had to work, but anxiety awoke me much earlier. I can recall like it was yesterday, waking at 3 am in a cold sweat with my heart beating as if I was racing against Allyson Felix. Knowing the potential of what I could face on that day consumed my mind. One day on my drive to work, while listening to a Christian radio station, the radio host read Psalm 139:16 NLT You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. The moment I heard this scripture, I knew that God was speaking directly to me.

I don't know what you may be facing right now in your life, but whatever it is, it is not a surprise to God. Every single day of your life was written in His book before it came to be. Because God is a good father and knows everything you will face, He has provided a path that ensures it will always work for your good. So, if you are mentally consumed with thoughts of what could happen, remember God already knows what will happen. God is leading and guiding you on a path of development, blessings, and favor. Trust the path He has set for you to take.

Prayer for the Journey

God, no day in my life catches you by surprise. All the days of my life were written in your book before one of them came into existence. Help me to remember during trials that you love me. You don't cause the suffering I experience, but you use it for your glory and my growth. Every hardship I encounter always works out for my good. I trust the plan and process you have established for my life.
